Extras

Life is about the extras. Extra base hits. Extra scoops of ice cream. Extra Sauce.

Whether prompted by a joke, a culinary curiosity, or a desire to push a client to take a risk, when inspiration strikes, I can't help but deliver extra. Here are some extras I’ve created for clients, for myself, or just for fun.

That time I got paid to make ice cream

Hay Rosie is an experimental Ice Cream Company. As small start up with a core team of just three, job titles were merely a formality. We all took on the responsibilities of marketing, production, management and sales. Every week we worked to concoct and produce new and sometimes bizarre flavors. I ensured the names and branding of flavors reflected a playful and bold style.

Role: Sous Chef, Production Manager, Copywriter, Ice Cream Taster, Delivery Boy, Sales Guy, and Friendly Face.

A cookie with real personality

Bahlsen was looking for a creative agency to bring their "Waffeletten" to life. We did just that, personifying the cookie as an angsty sweet treat struggling with self discovery in this crazy world. We won the pitch. Here's just a taste.

Tattoos are cool. Until they're not.

If you've ever had a tattoo or thought about getting one, it's because you see it as an art form. And while that's true, not all art lasts forever. This guerilla style campaign used a street art approach to highlight the difference between timeless and tasteless.

Flavor Four Sweepstakes

Launched in March 2015, we created an exciting nationwide sweepstakes that captured the all out fanaticism of college basketball's March Madness. Snack fans across the country could pop open a bag of Flavor Four Pretzel Pieces for their shot at 100k. Four lucky winners would get a chance to shoot a half court shot for the grand prize of $100,000.

Stella D'oro

Stella D'oro is a classic cookie company, built on nostalgia and feelings of home. For their social presence, we personified the brand voice in Nonna. Nonna is the classic grandma who tries to over feed you, sneak cookies to you under the table, yet isn't afraid to grab the wooden spoon when you act up. The social platform is a perfect place for Nonna to share her bits of wisdom and attitude.

Purell -  I hate germs and so should you

Gross, germs are all around us. They cover every inch of the city, hiding in plane sight. Thankfully, you have Purell. As a self identified germaphobe, I wanted to shine the magnifying glass–or black light–on the everyday encounters we have with germs. My gift to you is that same gross feeling I get when at the last possible moment, before face planting on the subway, I reluctantly grab hold of the pole. Purell's gift to you is, despite that feeling, you can still live life Hands On.

Role: Copywriter and Struggling AD.
